O mural em homenagem de Tono Cruz a Totò no Rione Sanità

No Rione Sanità, em Nápoles, na fachada de um prédio, há um mural dedicado a Totò.
A obra de street art é de Tono Cruz, artista espanhol das Ilhas Canárias, e representa a famosa cena do filme "La banda degli onesti", em que Totò explica a Peppino como funciona o capitalismo com a metáfora do açúcar. A cena do filme pode ser vista neste link.
O capitalista aproveita-se do esforço alheio para roubar-lhes os recursos. E assim, nesta cena, como Peppino não sabe quanto açúcar colocar na própria xícara de café, Totò vai pegando para si todo o açúcar, deixando o companheiro de mãos vazias.
O mural foi feito para honrar a memória do ator napolitano no bairro onde nasceu, e também para dar ao bairro mais um elemento de revalorização cultural. Tono Cruz, de fato, junto com outros artistas de rua, participou do projeto promovido pelo padre Antonio Loffredo e pela Fundação Comunitária San Gennaro. Já em 2015 ele havia pintado na praça da igreja o mural "Luce", e junto com o artista chileno Mono Gonzalez havia decorado o campanário de uma igreja do bairro.

In the Rione Sanità, in Naples, on the facade of a building, there is a mural dedicated to Totò, a famous Neapolitan comic actor of the twentieth century. The street art work has been made by Tono Cruz, a Spanish artist from the Gran Canaries, and represents the famous scene from the movie "The band of honest men", in which Totò explains to Peppino how capitalism works, using the metaphor of the sugar. The scene of the movie can be seen at this link. The capitalist takes advantage of the engraving of others to steal resources from them. In this scene, indeed, since Peppino does not know how much sugar to pour into his cup of coffee, Totò gradually takes all the sugar for himself. The mural was done to honor the memory of the Neapolitan actor in the neighborhood where he was born, and also to give the district an additional element of cultural revaluation. In fact, Tono Cruz, together with other street artists, participated in the project promoted by Antonio Loffredo, preacher of the Church Santa Maria della Sanità, and by the San Gennaro Community Foundation. Already in 2015 Tono Cruz had painted the mural "Luce" in the church square, and together with the Chilean artist Mono Gonzalez he had decorated the bell tower of a church in the neighborhood.
