El mural homenaje de Tono Cruz a Totò en el Rione Sanità

En el Rione Sanità, en Nápoles, en la fachada de un edificio, hay un mural dedicado a Totò.
La obra de arte urbano es de Tono Cruz, artista español de Gran Canaria, y representa la famosa escena de la película "La banda de los honestos", en la que Totò explica a Peppino cómo funciona el capitalismo con la metáfora del azúcar. La escena de la película se puede ver en este enlace. 
El capitalista se aprovecha del esfuerzo ajeno para robarles los recursos. Y así, en esta escena, como Peppino no sabe cuánta azúcar echar en su taza de café, Totò poco a poco se queda con todo el azúcar, dejando a su compañero con las manos vacías.
El mural fue realizado para honrar la memoria del actor napolitano en el barrio donde nació, y también para donar al rione un elemento más de revalorización cultural. De hecho, Tono Cruz, junto a otros artistas urbanos, participó en el proyecto promovido por el padre Antonio Loffredo y la Fundación de Comunidad San Gennaro. Ya en 2015 había pintado en la plaza de la iglesia el mural "Luce", y junto al artista chileno Mono Gonzalez había decorado el campanario de una iglesia del barrio.

In the Rione Sanità, in Naples, on the facade of a building, there is a mural dedicated to Totò, a famous Neapolitan comic actor of the twentieth century. The street art work has been made by Tono Cruz, a Spanish artist from the Gran Canaries, and represents the famous scene from the movie "The band of honest men", in which Totò explains to Peppino how capitalism works, using the metaphor of the sugar. The scene of the movie can be seen at this link. The capitalist takes advantage of the engraving of others to steal resources from them. In this scene, indeed, since Peppino does not know how much sugar to pour into his cup of coffee, Totò gradually takes all the sugar for himself. The mural was done to honor the memory of the Neapolitan actor in the neighborhood where he was born, and also to give the district an additional element of cultural revaluation. In fact, Tono Cruz, together with other street artists, participated in the project promoted by Antonio Loffredo, preacher of the Church Santa Maria della Sanità, and by the San Gennaro Community Foundation. Already in 2015 Tono Cruz had painted the mural "Luce" in the church square, and together with the Chilean artist Mono Gonzalez he had decorated the bell tower of a church in the neighborhood.
