The face of Erri de Luca, a well-known contemporary writer, appears in Naples, in the Forcella district. It is a street art work by Christian Guémy, known as c215, a French artist who generally works with the stencil technique. Christian studied Art History at the Sorbonne University in Paris, where he earned his PhD. Strongly influenced by Caravaggio, whose "Sick Bacchus" he depicts in the historic center of Naples, and by Ernest Pignon Ernest, a member of the Fluxus movement and situationism, c215 mostly chooses ordinary people as the subjects of his works, such as beggars, the elderly, and refugees. His characters almost resemble expressionist paintings, with details represented so meticulously that the signs of daily life are visible, such as, in this case, the wrinkles on the face.
